Samsung Galaxy S2 Review

The samsung galaxy S2 is the best successor to the original galaxy S series so far, with 1.2 Ghz dual core procesor and super slim frame. The dual core race seems to be getting sptronger with simlar line up form LG,Motorala and HTC are competing in the space.

The S2 is not cheaper. The is one of the thinnest smartphone in the market with dimensions of
125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5mm.
The phone is just over 100gms feels feather light to hold. However the remopve the battery cover you feel like holding a piece of filmsy plastic. The overall build quality is good.
With the screen size of 4.3 inches and the Super AMOLED screen gives you the best display experience on can have.
In the hand, the Galaxy S2 sits much better than we'd have expected, given the whopping screen on offer, and that's mostly down to its slim depth.
The front of the phone is pretty sparse, with the home key the only piece of furniture on offer. This rectangular button flanks two touch-sensitive buttons – Menu and Back – so there's no room for contextual search here. The volume keys are located on the left hand side and the power/lock key on the opposite flank.
The 8.1 MP camera with auto focus and LED flash light captures good images.Plug into the 3.5mm audio jack which give a pleasureable hearing experience for any kind of music played.

The engine is responsive at low revs  which makes it easy to drive in city conditions. The engine is smooth and  pulls very good in the lower gears you don't feel the friction between the road and the tyre it moves effortlessly. The clutch is very lite and the gears shifts are easy. The ride and handling is at its best.

THE ALL NEW SWIFT

Swift created a wave and new benchmark in hatchback design ,performance and its sporty driving dynamics  was adored by car lovers when it was launched in 2005.After 5 years the Swift   has been given the much needed face lift  and interior design changes along with improvements in engine performance.

At first glance, it looks just like the earlier model but it is a grounds-up new generation of the Swift. The new Swift is based on an all-new platform and is now both longer and wider. The overall length is increased by 90mm and the wheelbase is 40mm longer.
The Swift now feels bigger inside, with more knee room for the rear passengers thanks to the increased dimensions. The rear still feels like jumbled up in a small space due to the small window area.

The Swift’s interior styling looks now plusher with the silver inserts on the door handles and central dashboard. However the disappointment is the music system and silver inserts are available in the top end trims, material quality hasn’t been improved substantially and the tiny boot space continues to disappoint.

The car is powered by the renowned 1.2 KB12 series engine which is further refined by variable valve timing (VVT) to bump up power to 86bhp.This is a gem of an engine which loves to revved. With a linear power delivery and flat torque curve the fuel efficiency has been improved by 4 percent. The ARAI claimed mileage is 18.6kmpl.

The famed multijet 1,3 diesel engine remains unchanged with 75BHP power and 190 Nm torque@2000rpm
The fun to drive aspect of this award winning diesel engine can be felt once the turbo kicks in at 2000rpm,this car zooms like a racing machine. The power steering  now feels a lot more positive around the centre position and a quicker ratio allows for sharper directional changes.
Ride and handling is substantially improved. Turn-in is sharp, there’s grip to spare and body roll is progressive enough. The ride quality is much improved in terms of bump absorption over big road undulations and the car feels less fidgety at highway speeds as well.
Suzuki has done well to iron out most of the flaws in the earlier Swift while retaining all the really good bits and its sporty character which made to fall in love with this beauty

Samsung Galaxy S i19003 review

Its the  best value for money smartphone in the segment. Its a stylish handset with a 4-inch high quality Super-LCD display (480X800 pixels resolution). Heavy (131 grams) and thick (10.59 mm) Samsung Galaxy i9003 SL  with Android 2.2 (Froyo) and boasts Gorilla Glass and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1 GHz processor. It’s available in dashing black color and is endowed with accelerometer and proximity sensors.

It is equipped with  5 MP camera with autofocus, zoom and LED flash capable of capturing pictures in hi-resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. Image stabilization, smile & face detection and geo-tagging features are also available in the handset.

The Galaxy S LCD GT-I9003 comes with Android 2.2.1 Froyo by default . The Android 2.2.1 Froyo richness has Samsung's proprietary TouchWiz 3.0 UI running on it which also brings a few useful features. After unboxing the smartphone, I plugged it to Samsung Kies to get Froyo build update and later connected to Wi-Fi for updating the Google Apps.

Currently, the new Galaxy S LCD 4GB smartphone retails in India for around Rs. 19,500 to Rs. 21,000 depending on where you buy it from. Samsung has scaled down the Galaxy S GT-I9000 to make it a more affordable version.
Personally, I was quite satisfied with the performance that this 4-inch Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone costing Rs. 20,000 offered. The user experience is super cool with good screemn display ,smooth LCD touch screen a very good camera  and super fast browsing experience with wifi  and 3g options.
The Galaxy S GT-I9003 is certainly a good buy for those have strict Rs. 20,000 budget. You're getting a 4-inch display, 1GHz CPU, Android 2.2 Froyo with Gingerbread update due soon and much more. Samsung has implemented a few features of the bada OS in the GT-I9003 and made it more intuitive. Now, you have to wait till Samsung rolls out Android 2.3 Gingerbread update in coming few weeks for the Galaxy S I9000 and Galaxy S LCD I9003

Hyundai i10 1.2 Manga review by Raghu

Pros Excellent styling, beige interiors, very good engine.

Cons Nothing found still

Purchased As :New

Familiarity :5500 km

Fuel Economy :13km/litre

After doing a lot of research I booked i10 magna 1.2.I exchanged my alto for an exchange bonus of 15k and also insurance of 14k is offered free. It turned out to be very good deal for me. Before booking I researched all other cars except i10.On the budget of 4to 4.5 lacs I considered Maruthi ritz,Astar,Swift, wagon R,Tata indica vista (TDI) and santro.

Ritz: Good engine ,I did not like the styling of back.
Astar: Very less Interior space.Other wise a very peppy engine and good handling.
Swift:Price factor and waiting period.
Wagon R: It seems to be bit outdated now.
Vista (TDI): Concerns over maintainance.
Santro: Good car ,Style is bit old now.

Then at last I took a test drive of i10 magna 1.2.The over all styling is good. The interiors are simply luxurious. The kappa engine is very smooth and has great pick up in initial gears. I compared feature wise with Ritz at the price point.i10 magna 1.2 had all 4 power windows ,body colured mirrors, tilt steering, very rich interiors and also got free accessories like key less entry, 3m sun films and all basic accessories like wheel cover and mud flaps.
Its week since I am driving the car. I am completely enjoying it.
The power steering and ac is simply awesome. When I stop at signals I don’t realise that the engine is on.
Mileage: At this point of time not able to measure. Will update when it does couple of thousand KMS.

I have measured the FE by the following method:
When the low fuel indicator was just on filed in around 10 liters(9.87 litres) ,set the trip meter to zero and checked the mileage till the low fuel indiactor was again on.The mileage clocked is 118 kms.118/9.87=11.95kms(Ac 30% of the time).I think its a decent mileage as most of my travel is in heavy city trafffic. My first service is still due,it may increase a bit after that.I have to check the actual mileage on a long drive.Wiil update when i do it.

Mileage update 2: This time checked the mileage with extra premium petrol.Filled 9.53ltrs,mileage got 121 kms.121/9.53=12.69km/ltr.in city drive.

Milege Update 3:I have completed my first service. This time filed in19.7liters,mileage clocked 270 kms.In that 60 kms was on high way as i went to Banglaore airport, rest of them were in city with 50% of AC.270/19.7=13.7 km/litre.I am very happy with this mileage.

Mileage Update 4:Long Drive:
After the second service i went to a Hogenekal waterfalls around 145 kms from banglaore,Total kms drived 295 in 17 litres of petrol 295/17=17.35km/litre on long drive.
